Built on agranite spur, the village is one of the prettiest in Occitanie.
Protected by a double line of fortified walls, the village has kept a medieval fortified gate, a 14th churchtower and a watch path. A benedictin priory offers a view on the whole valley. The splendid roman-style church displays an 11th font. Several mansions have sculpted façades. After inspiring many painters, the priory is now a cultural centre dedicated to the observation of the landscape.
