Between Lascaux and les Eyzies, Saint Léon is located in the cradle of prehistory.
Saint Léon was already inhabited in prehistoric times and during the Antiquity. You can visit natural dwellings from the gallo-roman period in the park of Conquil. Past the bridge, you can discover the 12th roman-style Church, covered in lauzes, with its nearly byzantine architecture. A bit downstream the village, the château of Chabans has been totally renovated and is now classified as a historic monument.
