In the heart of the mounts of Cantal, in the natural park of the Auvergne volcanoes, Tournemire towers above the Doire valley.
This tuff village stretches to the castle of Anjony. Its square body and 4 angle towers are still intact. The 12th c church is typical of local roman art. There are sculptures and the Holy Thorn, brought back from the crusades. A surprising anecdote surrounds this thorn.
