Normandy is world-wide known because of its main role during World War II, but there is also much more to enjoy!

Of course, with all the landing beaches (Omaha, Juno, Sword, Arromanches, la Pointe du Hoc…), many military cemeteries, the Caen Memorial, Sainte Mere l'Eglise, there are many sites which are worth to be visited if you are interested in history. In addition to this great historic patrimony, Normandy also owns two world marvels: Le Mont Saint Michel and Etretat cliffs.

Le Mont Saint Michel is registered at the world patrimony by the UNESCO. This medieval gothic abbey overlooks a wonderful bay.
Etretat is not but these cliffs are so amazing that they could be part of the UNESCO patrimony.
Then Honfleur with its tiny nice harbor, is a landmark for Normandy.

Normandy will also provide you one of the most beautiful countryside of France. Forests, fields with beautiful cows, castles, beautiful typical houses… you will have many places to visit.

In Normandy, you will also enjoy typical French cooking. Cream, camembert cheese, apples from which cider and calvados are produced, are the main specialities of Normandy. Don't look for fat free food, you won't find any.

Last but not least, Normandy is also an ideal place for those who like horses. Deauville, Cabourg (Proust's Balbec), and Caen all organize horse races and Grand Prix during the summer season. All over Normandy, you'll see calm horses in beautiful fields with green grass.

ComeToFrance propose you to dive into Normandy's tradition and patrimony. Either for one day or more, we have many beautiful places to stay and activities to enjoy. For example in Barfleur, Beuvron en Auge, Saint Ceneri Le Gerei, Gerberoy, Lyons la Forêt are ones of the Most Beautiful Villages of France.
