Tastes and Perfumes on Riviera
Protected by a cliff on its southern side, Gourdon became fortified stretching its walls up to the mountains. At the end of the village, crossed by narrow streets, la Place Victoria looms over the hamlet of Pont-du-Loup where plants are grown for the perfume distilleries of Grasse.
DAY 1
Arrival at the accommodation.
Gourdon Castle Located at the top of the hill, the castle is perched at 2,000 feet above the Loup valley. Historical Museum : Guided visit of the museum : ancient weapons, antique objects, paintings and pieces from XV, XVI and XVII centuries. The garden (only in July and August)
Free time to discover Gourdon and its craftsmen
Flowers Field According to the season, you will discover the lavender fields, aromatic plants in Gourdon.
Free lunch and dinner

DAY 2 « Gastronomy Secrets»
9.00 : Cooking course around flowers Florian sweet factories are located in one of the most beautiful regions of France : The Côte d’Azur. Our confectionneries perpetuate a long standing tradition: we know how to change the most delicious fruits and lovely flowers of the area into sweets. « Gastronomy secrets » : realisation of one entrance, one main dish with its vegetables, one desert. Duration: 3 hours, tasting on the spot, wine offered.
14.00 : Gorges du Loup Florian Sweet Factory. We welcome visitors from the whole world, and show them how to prepare these delightful specialities of the South of France: Acid drop candies with a taste of Provence, flower and citrus fruit marmelades, crystallized flowers, home made chocolates, glazed fruits, three chocolates orangettes... 15.00 : End of the visit
