Italy's Square, Mouffetard street and Austerlitz Train Station are the main attractions of this area. On the southern end, you'll discover the Parisian Chinatown.
The thirteenth district with Italie's Square, Mouffetard street and Austerlitz station is located in the southern end of Paris. On Italy's Square and Gobelins' Avenue, you can find many original foreign films. La Tapisserie Royale des Gobelins is located on the avenue with the same name : it's a very cultural visit.
The Gobelins' Avenue will lead you to Mouffetard Street which very appreciated by tourists as well as Parisians. Many restaurants of all types propose cheap menus. At the top of Mouffetard Street, the Contrescarpe Square is a very nice place to stroll very close to the Pantheon.
To the East part, Austerlitz Station is the departure points for trains going to the center of France but also for the RER C which goes to the southeast suburb. In front of Austerlitz's Station, you'll find the Jardin des Plantes, home to the Natural History Museum with its splendid collections in a newly renovated building. Close to the Jardin des Plantes, you'll find Jussieu University and l'Institut du Monde Arabe (Arabic Cultural Institute) designed by the famous French architect Jean Nouvel.
In front of Montsouris Park, you can visit la Cité Universitaire Internationale. This is the place where most foreign students live. The very picturesque architecture comes from the fact that each building is designed in the style of the country for its citizen to live in. Take a stroll inside because it's very nice.
