What to discover?
At the end of the 50's, Saint-Tropez became the set
of the film of Roger Vadim "And God Created Woman",
a film that skyrocketed Brigitte
Bardot and the city to stardom. Nowadays,
the fame of the city spreads up to vivid villages
in the vicinity of Saint-Tropez such as Ramatuelle
and Gassin, which is one
of the Most Beautiful Villages of France.
Despite
its popularity, Saint-Tropez has kept its authenticity:
"petanque" on the Place des Lices, savoring "tropezienne"
which is a succulent pastry. In the steep and ochre-colored
streets, there are fashion
designers stores: Escada, Jen-Paul Gaultier,
Dolce & Gabanna and many others.
You
must notice that because of the traffic-jam, you may
rent a motorcycle or even a bicycle for moving. Actually,
the particularity of Saint-Tropez lies in the luxury
which is present everywhere. On the harbor, there
are numerous yachts
which rival each other concerning the size and the
beauty of women on the deck; you must admire them
from the terraces of Senequier or Le Gorille where
you have to be seen.
There
are also private sandy beaches
with restaurants, bars and fairytale parties
such as La Voile Rouge. Magnificent luxury hotels
charms whose name are The Byblos or the Chateau de
la Messardiere with their fabulous panoramas, gentleness,
warmth and tranquility.
Moreover,
Saint-Tropez is a town of hedonism and the parties
are here to prove it. In world-famous night clubs
such as Papagayo,
VIP room or Les Caves du Roy, you can meet stars
and royal families members such as Bono,
George Clooney, Mick Jagger (who married there with
Bianca in 1971). Listen NRJ Saint-Tropez on 95.6 FM, who kindly provides some of the above pictures.
