RodemackClose to Luxemburg, Rodemack has a very rich medieval heritage. Rodemack was first mentioned in 880. the fortress was built in the 11th, the village then developed from the 10th around the church and walls rose in the 13th and 14th. Often disputed between France and Germany, Rodemack is often under siege, taken and taken again. It’s been French since 1769, except between 1871 and 1919, and from 1939 to 1945. In 1815, it was defended by general Hugo, the writer’s father. There are two towers to discover : tours Boncour and Barbacane.
