Saint-Céneri-le-GéreiBetween wood, stone and water, Saint-Ceneri-le-Gerei is in the very heart of Mancelles Alps. The village was founded by Saint Ceneri an Italian hermit who had built a monastery later burnt down by the Normans. A church was later built on the same spot in the 11th. There are magnificent 16th murals inside and a painted ceiling that is unique in France and which was recently restored. Around the church, the ancient houses are well kept.
