Cannes: one of the most famous cities of the French Riviera.
What to discover?

Cannes is world-wide known thanks to the International Film Festival, its luxury hotels and its prestigious guest: beautiful people stars, starlets, exotic kings, queens and princesses, in one word all the jet-set society.

Cannes is also a glamour and gorgeous town. The old-town is crammed with luxury shops, especially the Antibes street. It is a paradise for chic and expensive items: there are plenty of magnificent jewelry shops, art galleries, clothing shops of the greatest fashion designers (Chanel, Yves Saint-Laurent, Vuitton) and even a Rolls Royce dealer.

One of the characteristic of Cannes is the number of historical luxury hotels, almost all of them are on the Croisette. Built at the beginning of the 20th century, they are all architectural treasures in front of the turquoise Mediterranean and sandy white beaches. The Carlton or the Martinez have private beaches, large pools, solariums, delightful bars and restaurants; actually, all you can dream of.

Let's not forget the casino which have been recently renovated and where you can play, eat and dance from 10 AM till 5 AM. Once in a year, in May, the International Film Festival and the International movie market take place and all the city is in a turmoil. It is the perfect moment to see or even meet film producers and stars. All the world of movie surges in the city bringing a swirl of specks, strasses, limousines and beauty.

On the other hand, Cannes is also a typical Southern France's city with its markets, succulent food, beautiful panoramas and squares, an old-harbor living by fishing. The countryside just inland from Cannes is bustling with magnificent places. Grasse, International capital of perfume, is just a few miles away. Saint-Tropez, Antibes and Saint-Raphael are nearby. Vivid Most Beautiful Villages of France such as Seillans, Bargeme, Tourtour, Coaraze, Gourdon and Sainte Agnes, which are at the opposite of Cannes because of their authenticity and simplicity, are just few minutes way.
